Nature and biodiversity are under pressure, including right next to our businesses, villages and farmland. At the same time, more and more companies want to do something concrete about sustainability, not just talk about it.
KURBI brings the two together. We make it simple for companies to enable tangible local nature projects. Not an abstract contribution to a fund, but a concrete measure for local nature and biodiversity of which you can see what happens on the ground.
In this way your company helps create space for plants, pollinators, birds and other animals, strengthens the local landscape and gives visible shape to its sustainability ambitions. Where relevant, this can also connect to your company's broader ESG and biodiversity objectives.

Local farmers help carry it out
The measure is installed and maintained on the ground together with regional partners.
KURBI coordinates and reports
You receive follow-up, images and confirmation of what actually happened.
Our projects
Every company chooses a concrete project — not an anonymous fund, but a tangible measure that is visibly carried out and maintained. A subscription is in principle €1,000 excl. VAT per project year; the concrete project unit differs per project.
Native hedgerows
Make roughly 50 metres of new landscape element possible: a varied hedgerow of mainly native shrubs and trees.

Frequently asked questions
- Can a KURBI project fit within the Voka Charter Duurzaam Ondernemen (VCDO)?
- Many companies look for a concrete, feasible sustainability action within their VCDO track. A KURBI biodiversity project is such a concrete action, with photos and follow-up you can document. KURBI itself does not decide on recognition or assessment within VCDO; discuss that with your Voka adviser.
- What does a subscription cost?
- € 1,000 excl. VAT per project and per project year. That covers the installation, maintenance and follow-up of one concrete measure during that project year.
- What is our company committing to?
- One project year. After that you are free to renew, choose another project or stop.
- Who carries out the work?
- Local farmers, landowners and implementation partners from the region help install and maintain the measures. KURBI coordinates and follows up.
- What do we receive as evidence?
- A project sheet, images of the work and an update on the situation on the ground. You are also welcome to visit the project yourself.
- May we use this in our ESG communication?
- You may communicate factually about the measure you subscribed to. KURBI does not guarantee any ESG score, offset or legal compliance; the page on ESG, SDGs and EU taxonomy explains how this fits into your own reporting.
- Can we also have a project carried out that is not listed on the website?
- Yes. Alongside the standard range, other biodiversity projects can be agreed and carried out on an ad hoc basis on request, tailored to your company or your site. Together we look at feasibility, content and terms.
